You can't close Windows XP. That is your operating system, that is how you can see what you are doing while you work on your computer.

To close Windows XP, click the 'start' button in the lower, left corner of your display. This will open the 'start' menu. Click the 'Shut Down' button in the lower, right corner of this menu. This will open a dialog with a listbox from which to choose 'Shut Down'.

If you want to turn Off windows XP, L-click on Start button on left corner-turnOff-againClickTurnOff. If you want to remove XP, use OperatingSystem CD to remove XP-from your computer.

I assume that you mean shutdown. Simply go to the start menu in the bottom left of the screen and there should be a shutdown option.

It depends on what you want to do.... there is no way like windows 98 to shut down to dos mode. Your option are if you want to do that, is to use a separate boot disk, most likely a floppy.

I never like to close the Windows Xp. In Microsoft Xp is best than others. i like to use xp. like 2000 with xp. so its nice in graphic interface and all.
