How do you choose the dog breed that's right for you?

We want a good family dog but there are so many options.

You should spend time with a few diffrent breeds with the whole family to see which breed is the most compatable. Ask around to people you know for their ideas and go to an animal shelter

The best way to do this is to choose a couple of breeds of dog you like then research each one to find out there suitability as a family dog.

Consider the amount of time you have to spend with the dog training and grooming it. Also consider any children you have and their ages.

When considereing a puppy for your family, go by physical qualities. Are they fun, active, quiet lazy, etc. The behavior of the dog depends highly upon the treatment from the owner, so as long as you love the dog, despite the breed, it will love you back.

Go for a loyal breed that is playful and friedly. The key to getting a good dog is to get a friendly one. I recommend a Malamute or Huskie.
