Placed cursor in desktop, right click and select properties. In Display properties select desktop tab and choose a background available there or choose your background by clicking browse button. For costuming your desktop, you can select either position ( center-tile-stretch) or color. Lastly, you must click apply button to see desktop changed and press Ok button.

First of all, make sure your desktop is visible. Right click on it and a menu will appear. Select "properties". Next you will see separate binders. Select the desktop one.

Right-click on a blank part of your Desktop. In the pop-up menu that appears, select 'Properties'. Then, in the dialog box that appears, click on the 'Desktop' tab. This will show a list of Backgrounds which you can select as your new Wallpaper, or click the 'Browse' button to select an image from the files on your PC.
