Turn off power to the switch at the breaker box. Unscrew the plate and old switch. Note how the wires are connected and connect new switch in the same manner.
First buy a new wall switch then you turn off the circuit breaker for the part of the house that you are going to be working on it in remove the old switch take note to where to wires are on the old switch then remove the wires and replace on new switch put back in wall turn on electricity
Turn off the circuit breaker feeding this switch. Remove cover plate, then switch screws and carefully pull switch out. Transfer wires from old to new switch, reinstall into box and replace cover. Restore power at circuit breaker.
turn off the power supply and remove the screws from the switch using a screw driver. Unscrew the small screws holding the wires and replace each wire in the exact positions of the new switch since it is marked well. Let the wires be held firmly and replace the cover.
