It really depends on the plant but basically keep them someplace in the house that has plenty of sunlight and keep them watered, damp but not soggy or they'll rot.

Houseplants all have different light and water requirements so you may need to look up each specific plant in order to find its optimum conditions. But as a general statement, give good filtered light, a north or west window and avoid over watering them.
