Coreopsis tinctoria, known as Golden Tickseed, is an annual plant that is easily grown from seed. It grows well in conditions varying from full sun to partial shade. Even though it has average water needs, it requires consistently moist and well drained soil. Deadheading regularly will encourage repeat blooms.

Planting this annual in full sun or partial shade, in a moist sandy soil, and watering regularly so that the ground does not dry out is the way to keep this plant looking healthy.

Plant in a sunny place. Keep the soil moist. Prune the plant back by 1/3 after it flowers. Use commercial pest killer if you see insects.
