Generally speaking, bromeliads need a fair amount of sun and should be kept well watered. There is some variety depending on your specific variety. Generally, you should keep the cup in the center of the plant, often referred to as the tank, full of water, and the soil should be moist. Bromeliads also like small amounts of slow release fertilizer.

Keeping bromeliads close to a southern window in your home keeps them happy! They thrive on bright, indirect sunshine and cool nights will help keep the color brighter and blooms longer. These plants bloom only once in a lifetime and the mother plant will produce pups that eventually bloom.

They are an easy care plant. They grow best in smaller pots with a medium like tree-fern bark or other bark mixtures. Water them twice a week by spraying or submerging the plant in water for a few minutes.
