A large enclosure, with good ventilation, and good heating are essential. They are desert dwellers, so sand (for adults) is a good substrate, and they are primarily herbivorous.
A Uromastyx has very specialized care for a lizard. They are exclusive herbevore, and need to eat seeds which is very rare among lizards. And require very hot terrariums to mimic their native Sudan. 120F in the hotspot.
