Beading can be added to curtains using either a washable fabric glue, or a simple whipstich depending on the fabric of the curtains.

Sew or hot glue beads onto your curtains. They can be added randomly to the curtain or you could create a pattern with them. You also can edge the curtains with beads or create a fringe with beads.

Make sure the holes in the beads you get are big enough for the curtain strings to fit through then just get the color beads you want to have the curtain made from and run the beads from the bottom to the top while the strings are hanging tie off by tying around the bottom bead of the curtain.

Pick a nice thick sewing thread that will match the color of the curtains and a needle that you can slip the beads onto.Use a basic stitch to make a design or if you want beaded tassels you can use embroidery thread instead of sewing thread and pull about 8 inches halfway through and string the beads on and tie.

You lay out the design and use clear nylon thread and start too hand sew the beads. Be sure to knot the thread every fifth bead to prevent breakage.

My local dollar store and fabric store sell lengths of beading attached to ribbon. I've sewn and glued this to various projects, including a lampshade and blouse. You'd have to buy enough yardage to fit your curtains and then sew or hot glue the ribbon to the wrong side seam so only the hanging beads show on the right side.

Put beads on fishing line (line is partially invisible) and tie it to the top of the curtains. You could also use thread that is the same color as the curtains and put the beads on the thread and tie it to the top of the curtains.
