Colleges are ranked according to the quality of faculty members, the school facilities that are being offered, the quality of students that they produce, and the rank that the school gets from national examinations. Most of the time, colleges are ranked by the examination results of students.

Agencies rank colleges and universities based on a number of factors. They consider how many students are accepted out of the application pool, how much funding is available for scholarships or research, and how many students find jobs or go to graduate school after graduation, among other things.
