How do I write onto a cd?

well you need to use a specific program to burn whatever you plan on burning to the cd. Newer versions of Windows have built in programs for burning normal files to a cd. However you will need a special program for burning music or movies on to cd's. Look online for programs to burn what you need to burn.

One can use a black permanent marker with a felt tip to write onto a CD. This won't come off afterwards.

Connect a SCSI CD writer to the computer. We can use mkisofs program for creating disk image. Use cdrecord program to write into the CD. Use sformat to verify data.
