You divide 96 divided by ten, simplify and that gives you 48 over 5, you divide by 5 and thats 9 having a reeminder of 2. So your mixed number will be 9 3/5. You can prove it by multiplying 9 time 5 that gives you 45 plus 3 is 48, and 48 divided by 5 is 9. 6.

A mixed number has an integer and a fraction. Take the number to the left of the decimal point, and that is your integer. What remains is. 6, or six tenths, which can be written as 6/10. So 9 6/10 would be the answer.
