The wires will be Hot, Neutral and Ground. Attach the light to Hot and Neutral while grounding the case and check your outlet's instructions/package for hot to connect it.

You can use the black wire for power for the plug and pass the red third wire onto the light as the switch leg. Simply share the neutral.

run power into switch box; then into outlet. Use outlet as a halfhot to plug in the lamp. Be sure to break tab for halfhot

the 3 wire are meant for separate purpose like input, output and to transfer the current from one junction to other junction.

First check the terminal of the light presenting. Then take three wire from the service main to the switch of the light and give connection through the switch.
