How do I wire a ceiling fan light combo?

If you wish to have the light switched separate from the fan you will need a dedicated switch-leg to accomodate this function. The blue wire is the light kit.

there will be necessary wires provided in the ceiling fan light combo, that wire can be connected to the wire available in the board so that it can run.

You will need to run 14-3 to the fan box. You can use the red wire as the fan switch leg and the black wire as the light switch leg. At the switch box you can either use a single gang with a stack switch or a two gang with two seperate single pole switches.
