How do I unclog clogged egr ports in a Chevy?

I have clogged egr ports in my Chevy.

If the egr system is clogged you should remove the egr valve and clean it. Some parts cleaner, rags, and some brush should be all you need to clean it.

remove egr valve the spray with carb cleaner to loosen the carbon build up blow the pieces out wit compressed air use somethin to scrape any excess out being careful not to damage the bore. clean thoughly and allow to dry before installing

Remove EGR (exhaust gas recycling)one who recirculatea portion of an engine's exhaust gas back to the engine cylinders. Start car. This will blow out any carbon in the chambers. Don't forget to clean the EGR.

You need rags, part cleaner,and a brush. Remove the valve and spray with carb cleaner,to loosen the carbon build up.while that is soaking clean all other parts. With an air compressor spray out the carb and valve, be careful not to damage the bore.

I normally use carb cleaner to perform this task and it works rather well .One bad thing is they clog back up really quick .So i would have to say go get new .

A bad or clogged EGR solenoid can become very irritating and actually rob your vehicle of fuel milage and horsepower.

You don't unclog EGR valves. Just replace the part. They are designed to be replaced about every five years depending on the car.
