This could be a minor skin infection. Got to the vet and he can prescribe anti-biotics with antibacterial spray/mosturizer for immediate relief for your pooch.

I would call my vet to make sure you are using animal safe medication. In the meantime you can wash your fella off and make sure the allergen is off.

These natural remedies should help provide your dog with instant relief from the rash: Aloe vera cream or gel, milk of magnesia, oatmeal shampoo with aloe, and baking soda mixed with water.

I would take the dog to the vet as soon as you can. With a rash, there's no need to go the emergency vet but you should make an appointment with your regular vet. In the meantime, keep the area clean. Do not put any ointment on it. The dog could lick it and get sick.

Start by gently washing the area with a liquid anti-bacterial soap. Make sure you dry the area well and keep it dry. Sometimes an antibiotic will help.

If you do no know what kind of rash it is, it would be best to take the dog to the vet.
