It sounds like an allergy/reaction to one of the metals in the jewelry. Discontinue wearing it. Treat the rash with an over-the-counter cortisone cream (follow directions on the label). Depending on the piece, you might try painting the backside of it with a couple coats of clear nail polish.

Jewelry rashes are treated like any other form or cause of rash. It's important when skin is broken to prevent a secondary infection, and pain reduction as well as facilitating healing is important. Treat like any shallow wound, which is what a rash is.

It sounds like your skin is reacting to the material in the jewelry. The best way to treat it is to wash the area with regular soap and water and not wear the jewelry again. Your body will stop reacting. If it gets really intolerable, hydrocortisone cream will help.

Rashes obtained from wearing jewelery can be rectified but it would take some time for the skin to come to normal levels. The best course would be to massage the body with unboiled milk, or curd, or mustard oil or with the butter at least twice daily for one week.
