Take the METRA train to the Van Buren stop in Chicago. Transfer here to the brown line elevated train heading North. At the Fullerton stop transfer to the red line towards Addison (direction North). Get off at Addison station, which is about one block from Wrigley Field.

Start by using the METRA train at the Homewood, Illinois station. Take this train to the Van Buren stop in Chicago. Transfer here to the brown line elevated train, going north. Once at the Fullerton stop, exit and transfer to the red line going north to Addison. Exit this train at Addison and you'll be one block from the ballpark.

You take the train by getting on one. But first, you must buy a ticket or else you may get thrown off. If you cannot buy a ticket or cannot afford one then don't get caught.
