This is common for your puppy's age. Do not be harsh with your puppy. You made need to take away his bed until he is old enough to be trained.

About all you can do is when you catch him trying to damage his bed, scold him. A lot of dogs dig in their beds because they are "making" the bed. Keeping his claws short may help.

Your dog is tearing up his bed because he is bored and gets upset when he is alone. Make sure he gets plenty of exercise and leave him toys that will keep him busy when you aren't around such as balls with treats hidden inside and bones with meat in.

Make sure he is getting plenty of exercise and give him chew toys. Toys with a dab of peanut butter or treats inside should divert his attention from his bedding.

Play with him more. Give him lots of affection when you are home. Also try keeping the dog bed up and out of the floor until he needs it.

Apparently he doesn't like it. Take it away. You might look into getting it fixed. Sometimes that brings down their temperment.
