If you don't have your general contractors license then I would get one. You can start by registering with some companies like Lamco, Safeguard and Cyprex. These companies will then give your name out to banks in your area that are handling repo's.

Make up lots of flyers with your business plan and prices stated and give it to whomever you think will be able to use it. Also try advertising in newspapers.

First off, you have to get the appropriate equipment for starting such a business (i.e. truck, proper moving equipment, etc.). After that, a good idea is for you to contact your local banks and mortgage companies who foreclose on individuals, and see about them notifying you when such events occur.

Start at city hall; find out what permits and licenses you need. Contact your insurance company for liability coverage. Set up a truck and some help, then start making contacts.
