How do I separate a light switch and a ceiling fan switch?

This depends on if the ceiling fan is capable of hooking up this way. In the box the ceiling fan mounts to, you should have an always hot wire, a hot based on a switch, a copper wire, and a white wire. If you have all of these, follow the ceiling fan instruction booklet on how to hook it up.

You run a 14-3 wire to it. Use the red for the fan switch leg and the black for the fan switch leg.

the light switch can be separated by putting a mark (L) on it & ceiling fan switch can also be separated by giving(F). So it can be easily under stand by every one who sees it as a new home. this is how we can seperate to be under stand by every one.

You can separate your light switch and a ceiling fan switch by writing a 'L' below light and 'F' below your fan switch.
