Get form 4506 from the IRS. (IRS web site or call you local office.) Fill out the form and return it with payment of $57 for each year you want, or $171 for three years. You can instead contact your preparer and get copies. Paid preparers are required to keep info for three years and should charge much less.

To request copies of your 1040 filings you have two options - phone or mail. Call 1-800-908-9946, or order by mail using IRS Form 4506T.
