How do I replace the motor on my Sequoia?

the first thing you need to do is find you a motor for the car. then you need to make sure you take your time and remove the battery and the connectors so there is no sparks. Next you unhook all the hoses and wires remember where they go.remove the crossbar and bolts from transmission.Wrap chain around now hoist out.

First of all, chock the rear wheels then,must remove battery terminals from battery; reduces any sparks, or have ones air bags deploy. Remove all hoses,drain coolant fluids, raise vehicle using jack. Remove crossbar,unbolt from transmission, unbolt engine mounts, attach chain for hoisting upwards.

If you are experienced enough to take on this task yourself then the main way to go about it is to disconnect all wiring, hoses and components that belong to the motor. After this, raise the motor and disconnect from the frame and replace with a new one.

Replacing an engine is not a task that can be described in such a small space. Unless you have ALOT of experience then you should let a professional do it.

If you are able to do this yourself, you would probably need to order a new motor or motor parts from a supplier. Otherwise, you would have to ship your Sequoia to an expert... this will be very expensive.

First undo all wiring and hoses from engine. Then remove any componets staying with vehicle. Then attatch a cherrypicker to raise motor and remove frame mounts and trans bolts.

Take the top nut off the antenna then have someone turn on the radio. The entire mast should just start coming out like a snake. That top nut on the fender actually keeps the antenna in place. After you get the entire antenna mast

You will have to take it in to get replaced, they will know how to replace the moter in the car
