For replacing the air filter first store the refrigerant in the receiver or condenser. Then simply unscrew the nuts and remove the filter. Care should be taken not to break the pipe ends. Then simply fit the new one and remember to do purging before staring the unit.

You would need to locate the filter either in a grill located at your wall or ceiling or inside your furnace. You need the correct size filter to replace it.

locate the return duct attached to the side, bottom, or top of your furnace. return duct draws air back from the house . locate the filter rack slot. if no filter rack can be found, it may be inside the furnace clamped to the side or bottom. remove the filter when the furnace is off and identify the size .

First remove the black plastic covers next to your engine. Behind them you'll find the air filter. Pull the air filter out and look it over. Make sure it needs replacing as they can go a long time without needing a change. Just insert the new filter and replace the plastic covers.

After finding the air filter, remove the screws, and remove the air filter. It looks like a cylindrical paper gasket. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean, and remove any foreign material from the air filter. After replace it back.
