How do I replace a U-Joint on a truck?

I have a Ford F-150.

This can be tricky so if you have never done it before asked some that has to walk you through it. Make sure to always respect the size of truck and be careful.

Start by chocking your wheels. Then remove the bolts holding the joint to the differential. Next slide the driveshaft into the trans enough to remove the driveshaft. Now take the drive shaft and have the the joint pressed out or tap it out yourself. Then reverse the process.

remove drive shaft from truck, on the end of each U joint you need to remove those clips, after they are out you can press out the caps

the u joint on trucks is kinda hard to replace bcause of the uncomfortable position that it has while being held

If you are wanting to replace this type of join then you will need to take off the old one first.
