How do I replace a Ford Focus coolant temperature switch?

The coolant temperature switch is located on the thermostat housing. It is removed easily with a wrench and replaced the same way.

After you locate the switch determine what size wrench or socket would be best for it. Be sure the engine is cool. Remove the wires by gently pulling the clip up. Unscrew the switch. Replace with the new one. Use some Teflon tape to ensure no leaks. Clip wiring back on.
