How do I replace a drive belt on my Murray lawn mower?

I would recommend reffering to your users manual or do an internet seach for your model. This should give you a diagram to show which direction the belt goes on the pulleys. If you look at the pulleys the wider ones are for the outside part of the belt.

If you still have the manual, I would recommend looking there first. If you do not, there should be a decal under the left footboard that shows how.

First thing I would do is to remove the belt pulley and take off the old belt by removing the pulley with the bolt on the face.

If you are wanting to replace this type of belt you will need to take off you clutch to get to it.
