How do I replace a ball joint on my Dodge Ram 1500?

factory ball joint have been riveted in place and you need to grind off the rivets, remove the cotter pin and nut from the top, then get a big hammer and sart hitting till it pops out. New ball joint will come with bolts instead of rivets

First remove the tire, turn the steering wheel so you have the best access to the ball joint, remove the cotter pin used to lock the nut in place, remove the nut, next you will have to hit the area next to the shaft of the ball joint many time very hard and eventually it will pop loose

To replace a ball joint you will have to jack the car up. Then you will have to pull the axle to be able to replace the ball joint. Then you are done
