How do I repair the kitchen faucet sprayer?

Answer by  JanetSteinberg (89)

The best way to repair the kitchen faucet sprayer is to purchase a new unit and install it properly. Once the old sprayer has been removed, check the connections and do any cleaning and prep that needs to be done to receive the new part. Then follow the manufacturer's directions to install your new sprayer.

I don't know just what is wrong with your faucet sprayer but if it is not flowing properly, you need to remove the end of the sprayer and remove the filter and clean it out. Minerals collect in there and clog it up.

Turn off the water. Disconnect the sprayer and check for broken pieces or faucet that has come loose. Clean everything off and reconnect. If it continues to leak. Repeat. Turn water on and check for leak.
