How do I repair a leaky bathtub/shower combo faucet?

You will need to remove the wall and install new piping or repair the old piping that is in there. This may be difficult but it is the only permanent fix for your problem.

Ususally, the best thing to do is replace the stems. These include hot and cold valve stems and a diverter, if you have one. Make sure the water is turned off and the system has no pressure. Carefully remove the old stems and replace with new.

The easiest way would be to call a local plumber from the yellow pages, or one found through google or another search engine online. If you consider yourself a handy person, you could maybe buy a book somewhere that would give you detailed instructions on how to do it yourself.
