How do I remove the gas tank on a Spitfire?

Open the rear trunk you will see the gas tank there,remove the hose,the gas tank is held by 3 belts loosen them, also loosen the screws wherever necessary, slowly pull out the gas tank and replace the new one, to fix back the new one do the steps taken to remove in reverse order.

A spitfire can be a very nasty devil when it comes to removing the gas tank. Basically, an explosion is necessary using a pipe bomb and a hollowed out shotgun shell.

In order to replace the gas tank on your Spitfire you are going to want to get under the car. Once under the car you can remove it and replace.

First basically disconnect the battery and spare tire. Remove the board in order to see the gas tank. Fuel sender unit should be removed. Retaining ring should be removed. Dont forget gasoline is a liquid which has great penerating power. Make sure about the gasket which can make the leak.
