Take caution while dealing with fuel jobs. Disable fuel pump, either by disconnecting power to the pump or by pulling fuse for pump. Start engine until it completely runs out of gas. Then carefully remove fuel line. It may still be pressure on line. Consult a licensed mechanic if needed.

You can either replace your Fuel Pump or you can reduce the system pressure by replacing your core piston valves. This is a fairly difficult repair, if you consider yourself a novice I would recommend either consulting your car manual, or seeking the help of a licensed mechanic to-be safe.

Begin by disabling the fuel pump. You can do this either by disconnecting the power to the pump or by pulling the fuse for the pump. Then start the car and let the engine run until it is completely out of gas. Then you can carefully remove the fuel line. There may still be some pressure on the line.

Well you know fuel systems tend to be a little bossy and want to be in charge all the time. The owner has to establish strict parameters for behavior and have well defined tasks for all involved.

The best way is to contact the manufacturer of your specific vehicle, cause every car has a different procedure. One way is to disconnect the fuel pump and start the car. It should stop running quickly because no fuel will be being pumped up to the engine, good way to do this.

Disconnect power to fuel pump or by pulling the pump. Let car run until it goes all the way out of gas. Be gentle and careful while removing fuel lines. Check both fuel tank and engine to determine whether theres a fuel leakage or not. To make sure it is the right procedures for your car contact a manufacturer.

You have to be very careful when you try to do any work on the fuel system because fuel is extremely flammable. Extinguish any cigarettes or any flames. You should check the fuel tank for any leaks. Look at the engine and see if there is fuel leak there.
