Two gang wiring consist two wires , one is positive and other is negative. In this system of wiring two core wire is commonly used. two wire should be reached at each point. The positive is countroled by a switch.

Two gang wiring as it is called is formed with two wires. One is positive and one is negative. The wires are part of the same feed but will eventually split. The positive wire is threaded through where ever the switch is located as a switch will control the positive wire feed.

Two gang does not refer to any specific type of wire. Two gang would be the type or size of box that you are using. There are single gang, two gang, three gang, and so on. It's just how many devices you can fit in it.
