You get up on a ladder, open up the top part of the fan and squeeze in some oil on the parts that rub together when the fan is spinning.

You will need to apply oil to the main bearing in the motor. It can be found in the base structure located directly above the fan blades. This should be done once or twice per year.

Oiling a ceiling fan is a difficult task if your fan is at much height. For ceiling fan you will have to oil all the nuts & bolts,then you will have to oil the motor by removing the safety cap of the fan. That's it!
