You can buy a leotard in red or blue because they are tight-fitting. Get matching leggings or even pajamas. If you can stitch, purchase stretchy, costume material from Jo-Ann Fabrics and a power ranger outfit pattern. Embellish the outfit with a gold chestpiece made from a cardboard cutout.

Either get a picture and make the design. Or go to the fabric store and get a pattern. This will show you how many yards of fabric you'll need.
