Use a posterboard to construct a CONE shape (the shape of the volcano), and secure it to a heavy cardboard base. Cover everything with foil or plastic wrap, and then paper mache over the shape. Watered-down white glue and newspaper can be used. Be sure to allow several days for the finished paper mache to dry before painting!

Make a wireframe version of the final project out of chicken wire or a similar material. Then mix water and white glue to make the paper mache solution. Dip strips of newspaper in the solution and cover the chicken wire. Then you can paint the newspaper strips when they have dried.

Start off with a plastic soda bottle, get a size depending on how big you want the volcano to be. The soda bottle will be the base. Use some chicken wire to form your volcano shape. Next you will need a bunch of newspaper cut into strips. Dip the strips in a flour and water micture, place on base. Paint.

Paper Mache is newspaper strips dipped in equal parts flour and water. You can add a small amount of glue if you wish. Make a volcano shape, and paint.

Blow up balloon. Wrap paper mache around the balloon until you get a shape. Pop balloon and continue adding paper.
