How do I legally change the executor of my estate on my existing will?

The best way to do this is to file a new will with the only change as the executor. It will need to be signed and notarized.

This can be done in one of two ways. You can either do a codicil or change to your existing will. Or you can draft a new one changing the executor of your will. If you do a new will, it will automatically revoke the old one. I hope this helps.
