You're going to need to install an undercarriage hookup before you install your plow. The hookup must be welded to the underbody of the truck and it costs about $350 to do this. Once that's done, you can attach the plow easily by bolting it onto the frame in about 5 minutes.

There are various types of plow attachments based on their application.So,at first find out the type you have.It usually requires to align the attachment and tight it using fasteners.

The plow attachment will have to be installed by a licensed mechanic, as it attaches to the frame. Afterwards you can do the plow yourself.
