How do I install a beadboard?

Installation is easy as long as you cut in for doorways, electrical outlets, etc, you can beadboard over pre-existing wall treatments easily. This Old House has videos and instructions online that can guide you to create this lovely Victorian asset to your home. Some home outlets have beadboard style treatments you can purchase, or try a salvage outlet for authenticity.

Lay the paneling out so that the end are on the studs. Then apply adhesive to the back and nail the ends of the board down and the molding.

You need to mark a line where exactly you would place the beadboard. Apply adhesive. Fix the board to the wall, drilling screws into it to hold it in place.
