How do I highlight all the characters using the CTRL button?

Place your cursor at the point of the text you wish to select. Press and hold the Shift key then tap your left-right or up-down arrows repeatedly to select lines of text. Press CTRL-SHIFT simultaneously to highlight your text. Then, if you wish to copy, you can press CTRL-C, place your cursor at your destination and press CTRL-V

Holding the control button down, place your mouse over the area you want to highlight. You might have to go paragraph by paragraph, or highlight the title, then the paragraph. If you're highlighting in a drop down menu, hold the CTRL button and click on each selected option, or hold the click as you highlight the whole list.

To select everything on a page you can use the "crtl+a" keystroke. Anything that can be selected will be when you do this.
