How do I go about splicing coaxial cable?

Trim the end and use a wire cutter to peel away the casing. You will need to do this again to get to the copper wire. Slide the connector down and crimp it.

Strip back the outer sleeve about 3/4" on each piece to be spliced. Tease the screen braid apart on each piece, twist the strands to form a wire. strip back the core insulation 1/2", twist the core wires together, solder to join. Insulate the core joint with tape. Twist the screen wires together, solder. Neaten up, cover with tape.
