How do I go about painting palm trees on a wall?

I actually had my cousin do this in my bathroom. She first prepared her special colors with her color palette. I painted the wall a light blue and she added sand by sponging the tan colored paint along the base board. She then penciled out the trunk of the tree and the leaves. Using her paints, she followed her tracings.

One option is to look online for palm tree stencils. For more realistic trees you will have to paint them on free hand. You may also want to consider looking online for simple pull and peel vinyl palm tree decorations.
