How do I get started in stand-up comedy?

Check out comedy clubs in your area and see if they have amateur night. If not see if you can talk to other comedians in your area for their advice.

It is hard to get started. The best thing to do is to go to open microphone nights at a local comedy club and sign up.

First you need to find out of people think your funny. Then I would start off slow at local,coffee houses or bars. Then the world is yours to explore.
