How do I get rid of scar tissue around an ear piercing?

Some people form scar tissue that will continue to grow rather than recede and they may need a health care professional to examine the growth for removal, possibly skin cancer.

If the piercing is less than six months old, I just would recommend allowing time for the scar tissue to fade. Another option, while this is often not advised by some professional piercers, using over the counter scar or vitamin E creams can help reduce scarring and ease any discomfort associated with it.

You pretty much can't. If it's particularly troublesome or unsightly, you could get plastic surgery to reduce the scar tissue a little, but you're more or less stuck with it permanently.

You can not get rid of scar tissue. You might be able to soften it if you massage it. But scar tissue is there to stay.
