Children will adapt to the schedule given them. Allow a brief nap during the day and schedule most toddler activity in the late afternoon to early evening. Bathtime should be the time to begin winding down. Stay on track and your toddler will be on a sleeping schedule.
Every night establish a routine, rather it's bath, then reading a story, or playing a quiet game before bed. Routine is the key. Always keep activity quiet and soothing, and always do the same order.
Be very consistant with a schedule and make time for quiet time about 15 minutes before you plan to lay them down for the nap. You may need to rub their back or rock them but consistancy is it. Make sure to lay them down before they're too tired.
