At what intervals should you schedule ten teams to play golf?

I have ten different teams of four who will be playing golf in a tournament, what time intervals do I need to schedule them, for example thirty minutes apart etc.

Foursomes can be sent off in intervals of approximately 12 - 15 minutes. Thirty minutes is too much time. 15 minutes gives enough time for prior team to reach green.

Thirty minutes is way too much time between groups. 12 - 15 minutes is much closer to what you need. A fifteen minute between starting times gives the group ahead time to move out of the way completely before the next group, but is also not hurrying the group so they can relax and enjoy the round.

An ideal interval for foursomes is 10 minutes apart. This will allow the groups plenty of time to clear the hole before the next group tees off.

You can probably send them off in intervals of eight to ten minutes. That should be enough time for teams to move safely out of range for the next group.

If these are experienced golfers then 15 minutes between each team of 4 should be sufficient but if they are less experienced they may require more time.

A better alternative to staggered start times would be the "shotgun" start. Every team starts at the same time on a different hole. Then everyone in the tournament can finish at about the same time which eliminates people from having to sit around and wait at the end.
