When an HP monitor is no longer getting input from the computer to which it is attached, it will go into sleep mode. Pressing the power button on the computer should turn the monitor back on.

Select the main menu from the bottom left-hand corner of your task bar and choose Control Panel. From there, go to the Power Options tab. Try to adjusting the sleep and wake times from the options available. For example, if it is set to 15 minutes, consider changing it to 10 or 20 minutes.

Usually just have to move the mouse around but If that doesn't work try pressing alt+ctrl+delete. That should do it and if it doesnt turn it off and back on.

Usually, this should automatically happen when your CPU sends a signal to the monitor. It really shouldn't be an issue. Just ensure that your monitor is ON.

As long as the computer it is connected to is turned on and working properly, you should only have to hit a key on the keyboard. If that doesn't work then powercycle the monitor. If it still doesn't turn on then the computer itself may be sleeping. Try rebooting it.

Turn the monitor off, wait 5 seconds and then turn it back on. If not, unplug the monitor, wait 25 seconds and then re-plug it. If the problem persists then unplug the tower, wait 5 seconds, then re-plug. It should re-boot and your monitor should be out of sleep mode.
