How do I fix the green color on my living room walls?

I hate the color. I'm so sorry I picked it out.

Try to do some abstract thing and paint over it with some strokes of shiny gold and then put some golden vase or else as a decoration. It will be fantastique!

The best decision to make would be to paint over it with another color. If the new color you chose is lighter, then it may take more than one coat.

Whenever painting to cover a darker color with a lighter color, put up a primer coat. It's cheaper to do that, than to waste multiple layers of the finish paint unnecessarily.  add a comment

You could texture the wall with a lighter color, or primer the wall and start all over again. Green is a hard color to like when the whole room in that color. You could also put up a chair rail and paint the top half a lighter color and leave the chair rail a natural wood color.

Try adding a border that you really like, or stenciling a border, this will help attract your attention away from the color alot. Maybe try another color on other walls to accent the green, this will also take your eye off the green. Otherwise, repaint, but first try a practice spot to make sure you like it.

If you intend to choose a lighter color, assume you will have to paint it 2 coats of the new color. If the new color is close to the current green color, you may get away with one coat of the new color.
