How do I find out who is an administrator of a will?

I want to find out who the administrator of my moms will is.

If her estate has been filed in a probate court then contacting the court will have the administrators name on record. Contact her attorney for the information.

The administrator of a will, or the executor, will be specifically named in the will. It cannot be another party outside of that named person. If that named person is unavailable by the time the will is executed, most wills name a secondary party. If not, then it is up to the probate court to decide.

The administrator of the will is called the executor. That is unless the first executor declines the position. In that case, the job goes to the alternate executor, usually listed in the will. If no one is able or willing to be executor, the probate judge can assign someone to be an executor.
