You can file for Florida unemployment by completing a claim with the Florida Workforce Innovation agency. This company is responsible for collecting your personal information, verifying previous employment and offering the final decision pertaining to your application.

Do a search for "agency for workforce innovation," which will take you to the floridajobs site, where you can file your claim online. You can also call 1-800-204-2418 for directions to the website or for questions about filing. You can also go to the brick-and-mortar employment office in your area.

You will need to visit your local Florida unemployment office to do so. You can begin the process online but you must appear there in person.

The Department of Labor for Florida or any government run employment office will be able to help you in filing for unemployment. You should be able to do an internet search for phone numbers and web addresses for the Department of Labor.
